Little Loves...

We brought Smudge for this adventure...and he loved it.
HOME now.
From our annual family vacation away...
And for these things ~

::  Time away from our busy schedules.
::  Kitty cat purring in the car.
::  Hot, sunny days.
::  Cool, breezy nights.
::  Our sanctuary away from life.
For lazy afternoons on the dock.
::  Unplugging for a week.
::  Huge fish.
::  Bait traps squirming.
::  Late night Cribbage matches.
::  Waves lap lapping their lullabyes.
The Cribbage Crushfest.  We played 16 games this week.
::  5:30 a.m. boat and fishing trips for them.
::  Coffee and a quiet camp for me.
::  Solitude.
::  Restful sleep.
::  Happy, exhausted little boys...and Mama.
We suffered.
::  Year #13 for us.
::  Thirteen years back at the same spot we started.
::  Adventures with my best friend.

::  Birdsong alarm clocks.
::  Red onion pizzas.
::  Blowing bubbles on the dock.
::  Visits from brothers and sisters.
::  Trout feasts.
::  Loon lullabyes.

::  Your Creation - vast and wild.
::  Mama ducks and their babies.
::  The cry of the seagulls.
::  Coffee on the dock.
::  Late night talks.
::  Time with YOU.

::  Sunkissed skin.
::  Dead phones and no email.
::  Slowing down the pace of life.

::  Baths in the lake.
::  Heart revival.
::  Calm assurance that YOU are ALWAYS good.
::  Cobwebs clearing.
::  Early morning silence.

::  Waterfalls and mountain swims.
::  Flyfishing...and fish for supper.
::  Nighttime coffee talks.

:: Sweet conversations with sweet little boys.
:: Stories and games.
:: Being fully present.

:: Hot, glorious days.
:: Sunsets and sunrises.
:: And slowing to see them.

My big hunk 'o lovin'.
::  Him.
::  Big and gentle.
::  Crazy and fun.
::  Silly and sensitive.

::  "Bwue icecreams."
::  Catching the babies...ahem.
::  Mamas unimpressed...
Sound asleep and snoring.
::  Naps in the boat.
::  Sudoku and stories.
::  Fishing, fishing, fishing.

....For ALL these things
And SO much more...

I am grateful.
