Well, the day is done and night begins. We'll see what's in store for us.
Jesse took two decent naps during the day and woke up relatively happy. We got quite a few smiles and giggles out of him this afternoon and evening. When it came time to change the bandages the cries began again, but at least there was no screaming. One hand looks pretty good; there are only blisters on two fingers and a pretty big blister on the top of his palm. The other hand looks horrible. It's really swollen and his entire hand is one huge blister. He's asleep now, but he wimpers every now and then, so we can tell that he's in pain.
In the grand scheme of things, we are just so thankful. It could have been so much worse. Still, it's awfully hard to see your little baby in pain and unable to understand what's going on. Poor little guy. So brave.
Praying for your boy, but most of all for your guilt level. Oh my goodness, Ame, I am so feeling for you right now. It's so awful to see your little one in pain. Hugging you in my mind! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWell -- I just checked your site (one of the first things I do Monday mornings when I get into work!), and I am soo sorry to hear about Jesse, Ame...hope he is doing a little better by now -- how scary that must have been for all you guys -- sweet to think of little Kaden being the man and looking after you guys. Hope you are doing okay, too - I know you are beating yourself up about this, but it was an accident...its just so great that you could get him to the ER so quickly - and thank goodness it wasn't worse, poor little fella. Let us know how he's doing, okay? So sorry, you guys. We love you, and I'm praying for your little Jesse Bear right now...hope he heals quickly.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know that I am praying for Jesse and the rest of you guys. Hope he heals quickly. Jessica Berry
